What ingredients are in our food and why have we chosen them?
Fresh chicken muscle meat (45%)
Dogs need proteins to build and maintain their organs and muscles and for their enzymes to function properly. Meat is a good source of protein because it contains all the essential amino acids in the right proportions and thus has a high biological quality. In addition, meat contains iron, zinc, selenium, and B vitamins.
Chicken stomachs (16%)
are especially nutritious and suitable for dogs of all ages. Due to its small size, chicken stomachs are perfect for smaller dogs as a reward or training snack.
Fresh chicken hearts (10%)
mainly consists of muscle, i.e. meat. It is very rich in protein without containing much fat. It provides high quality biotin and potassium.
Fresh breastbones (8%)
Every B.A.R.F. recipe includes finely ground fresh breastbones. These contain important, natural calcium, iron, valuable fatty acids, and enzymes.
Freeze-dried chicken liver (3%)
is particularly nutritious because it contains a lot of iron and numerous vitamins (A, B 2, B 12, biotin, etc.). The gentle freeze drying process preserves heat-sensitive vitamins.
Carrots (8%) und Beetroots (2%)
Beetroots and carrots contain many vitamins and minerals (especially potassium). The saponins and flavonoids they contain stimulate appetite and aid digestion.
Fresh untreated apples (3%) and pears (3%), straight from the farmer contain pectin, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, and sodium.
Blueberries are primarily a source of manganese and copper, but also contain vitamin C, carotene, iron, potassium, sodium, B vitamins, and anthocyanins.
High-quality cold-pressed sunflower oil (1%):
High-quality cold-pressed sunflower oil is a source of vitamin E, linolenic acid, and alphalinolenic acid, as well as essential fatty acids.
Cod liver oil (0,6%)
Cod liver oil is primarily a source of vitamin D, but also contains a high proportion of vitamins A and E and is rich in iodine and omega-3 fatty acids.
